General Booking & Service Area Questions

Below are common frequently asked questions regarding our service area.

  • Carnival Guy is the premier choice for full-service event rentals across Northeast Kansas and the Midwest. While we regularly transform events in Topeka, Lawrence, and Manhattan, our reach extends to every community 'in-between,' including Silver Lake, St. Marys, Auburn, and Tecumseh. Whether you’re hosting a small local gathering or a large-scale regional festival, we handle the heavy lifting with professional delivery, setup, and takedown. Note: Minimum order requirements apply for deliveries outside our primary service area.

  • Yes! We are an established, fully insured party rental company. We carry a comprehensive general liability policy to protect our clients, schools, and corporate partners. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request for your venue.

  • Absolutely. Per Kansas State Law, all our amusement rides and inflatables undergo annual professional inspections. Additionally, our crew performs a multi-point safety check during every setup to ensure the equipment is clean, secure, and ready for play.

  • Yes. While most backyard rentals are supervised by the customer, we can provide professional event staffing and ride operators for an additional fee. This is a popular choice for large school carnivals, corporate retreats, and public festivals.

Electrical & Power Requirements

Ensuring your event has the right electrical power for inflatable rentals is key to a "deflation-free" day. Each blower typically requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit to stay powered safely. Carnival Guy provides professional extension cords for all setups, and we offer portable generator rentals for parks in Topeka, Lawrence, and Manhattan where outlets aren't accessible.

  • Each inflatable blower requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit. This means the outlet should not be shared with other high-power items like crockpots, DJs, or heaters. Plugging multiple blowers into one circuit will likely trip a breaker.

  • We recommend using the professional-grade extension cords we provide. To ensure consistent air pressure and motor safety, blowers should be placed within 50–100 feet of the power source. Longer runs lead to "voltage drop," which can damage the blower.

  • No worries at all! We offer generator rentals that can power multiple blowers simultaneously. This is the best solution for events at public parks or large open fields where outlets aren't accessible.

Logistics & Equipment

At Carnival Guy, we handle all the heavy lifting with professional delivery, setup, and takedown included in your full-day rental. Our experienced Northeast Kansas team ensures every high-peak tent, dunk tank, and inflatable is properly leveled, anchored, and safety-inspected. Whether your event is on grass or concrete in Topeka, Lawrence, or Manhattan, we provide the expertise and equipment needed for a seamless, stress-free installation.

  • Our professional team handles the full installation and removal of all tents, inflatables, and rides. We ensure everything is leveled, anchored, and safe so you can focus on your guests. Please note: Free delivery is only offered on inflatable rentals in the City of Topeka (city limits). Other celebrations outside of this delivery area will incur a delivery/setup fee.

  • When you rent our Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Chocolate Fountains, Frozen Drink Machines or Snow Cone machines, we offer starter kits that include the necessary sugar, cones, or bags. Extra servings are available for purchase for larger crowds—just let us know your guest count!

  • Our standard pricing is for a four hour rental. We typically deliver an hour or two before your celebration, but these times may change depending on our existing delivery and pick up schedule. Your Carnival Guy Party Pro will confirm the exact delivery and pickup time and we are always available to text or call during your celebration.

  • Yes, but please let us know in advance! Setup on hard surfaces requires weights instead of stakes (there is an extra fee for this service). We need to know your surface type (grass, concrete, or indoors) to bring the correct anchoring equipment.

  • Safety is our #1 priority. If the forecast calls for high winds (over 15-20 mph) or heavy rain, we may need to reschedule. Inflatables should never be used during a thunderstorm or high-wind event.
